| Hello, folks!
Well, the first session of OD&D has taken place. On Friday night, JJ and I decided that it was time to get this thing on the road, even it meant catching others up at a later time.
I have to run to an examination now, but I will give a summary of the session when I return around 3ish.

Alrighty, back. And only 8 hours late, to boot!
Garett awoke in Ed's, the local rundown tavern, to find his dear sister ill. Wishing her well, he went downstairs for breakfast, chatting up the melancholy proprietor as he ate. The townspeople were soon summoned before the Queenchild's elven advisor, a charming, commanding man. He alerted the town to a theft that occured in the palace gardens, separating the Queenchild from one of her favorite possessions. Interested adventurers were told to see Marly of the Royal Guard.
Garett, clearly interested in this obvious, plot-dependent request, went to see Marly. He was given vague instructions and sent out into the wilderness to find the "Gobbies" and get the Queenchild's beloved possession back. There were two other interested advisors who went with him - a Half-Elf, pipe-loving spellcaster named Bell and a freshly-minted Warforged named Giddy.
After a few hours, they discovered a cave of three Goblins. The Goblins wanted a 3000 GP ransom for the prized possession, which turned out to be a ratty stuffed bear. After a little talking, Bell suddenly blasted one of the Goblins and a fight ensued. The poor bastards didn't even land a hit. Taking the bear and a meager sum of gold from the cave, the adventurers headed back to town. They were held up temporarily by a random encoun...excuse me, by a couple of very prominent...monstrous centipedes.
When they arrived back in town they found out that the Queenchild's personal nurse was to be executed for allowing the Goblins to steal the bear. They were escorted into the palace and met with the impatient elven advisor who told them they could take anything from the palace as their reward. Garett decided that the best reward they could take away was the girl's imprisonment, so the nurse, Arabessa, was released with instructions that the Queenchild never see her again.
The party of four headed over to a couple of shops to sell loot and so Garett could teach Mr. Tabula Rasa Warforged how to deal with currency. Finally they headed back to Ed's, chatted, and then went to bed. In the middle of the night, a knock on the door was heard...
And that's where we left it. Any questions? Leave a comment and I'll get back to you!

| Hello all, Matt here. I've set up this handy blog so we can have an easier time communicating about our Online D&D campaign without necessarily having the ability to communicate with one another at all times.
I plan on updating this Xanga after each session, even if the "session" only contains one of you PC's. That way, those that may have missed can grab a DM's summary on what happened, notable new characters, plot thickenings, etc.
Also, feel free to post as well, the password is "ebonhand". Feel free to use any color you would like, as long as it's not my DM Blood Red color - I would suggest bolding the text.
I think that's all for now. Until next time!
